Business Practices & the Church
Are business practices necessarily evil? For so long, church leaders & workers cry foul against business practices to be implemented in church, stating that it will cause the church to be run as an organisation. But can the church avoid being an organisation? If no, then some form of system or processes need to be in place and enforced. If business practices are evil, then what is biblical?
On the other hand, the very same people shoot their own foot by implementing some of these practices, and enforcing them in a way that is hardly evident of God's grace. Yet they choose to omit helpful ones or at least enforcing that have been adopted, in way that actually helps growth by holding people accountable and having hard conversations.
What are your thoughts?
